I am a 22 year old aspiring and curious Interior designer with happy to help attitude. I believe in functional and aesthetic approach to designing and always open to try out different techniques and mediums while exploring. I love to visualise spaces, experiment, take risks and try out different possible ways to make it more interesting.
Oceana
Adaptive Reuse Project
Location: The Site is situated on Diu Island, on the west coast of India.
Year of Construction: 1610; 412 years ago.
The church, built in the Baroque architectural style, which was built by the Portuguese during their colonial rule of the territory. Situated in Diu, St. Paul’s Church is the largest and the only functioning church in Diu. Renowned all over the world for its stunning Jesuit architecture, the church boasts of rich wood carvings, splendid facade, intriguing vaults and shell-like motifs. The project aims to convert the church into a Boutique hotel while retaining the uniqueness of the church.
The Co- Studio
A Co- Working Space
This project focuses on the deviants to the normal that will cause certain connections as possible solutions to the new ways of working or “co-working”. A co-working office space created for Visual artists, built in the existing site named Inediquip Factory in Ahmedabad. As the site has it’’s own language and characteristics, spaces were distributed and created according to that. Spaces with different levels and jutted out out niches were created to give a new perspective towards the office spaces. Making the space more interactive and playful along with providing the privacy was the main aim to achieve in this project.
Deployable Structures
Form Exploration
The studio intends to explore the potential of deployable systems of Origami and scissor mechanism to design, user-defined multi-functional space/product / interior architecture element, which facilitates or enhances the existing activity or user experience, within a given context.
